It was a lot of fun to team up with my old employer, the National Capital Commission, to write interpretive signs for the beautifully redeveloped Westboro Beach area. Not only was I able to brush up on my Ottawa history, but I also learned a lot about one of its most important early architects as we interpreted the remarkable beach pavilions that James Strutt created there.
